As promised, a few pictures from our adventures in Germany so far.

When I said that Burgberg was nestled into the foot of the mountains, I wasn't kidding.

Here's the cottage we stayed in, right up on the top floor.

A few of the beautiful panoramic views, one from the top of a mountain and the other from the porch of our friends' vacation apartment.

There were a lot of experiences that included cows and their delicious cheese.

As well as with other farm animals at the petting zoo.

We spent lots of time in sunny mountain meadows, cool green forests, and warm evening light.

And of course there were pretzels and bratwursts. (Don't be fooled; she didn't actually eat anything.)

Now that we're in Neugablonz (using the internet at the German national Mercy Ships office, actually) we're having a different sort of adventures, mostly indoors since our perfect week of weather has given way to cold rain. I suppose it's just getting us ready for England, but things are much more low-key these days.

Now off we go to see if we can remember how to get to the bakery on our own; nothing beats fresh-baked German bread for lunch.
